In the journey of Light and Love, we begin with a fundamental diad: Presence and Awareness. These two interconnected states form the foundation upon which all other aspects of personal growth and transformation are built.
Presence and Awareness, while distinct, are inseparable in practice. They work together to create a state of mindful engagement with our lives:
Think of Presence as the canvas and Awareness as the ability to perceive the details of the painting. One provides the context, the other the content.
- Presence brings us into the moment, grounding us in the here and now.
- Awareness then allows us to notice what’s happening in that moment – our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and external environment.
- This can then deepen our Presence, creating a positive feedback loop.

- Do you often find your mind wandering during activities?
- Are you frequently unaware of your emotions as they arise?
- Does time often seem to “disappear” without you knowing where it went?
